Christians can lose their inheritance of Christ's Millennial Reign

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Matt. 6:33
"But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Luke 12:31
There is something that should be FIRST in a Christian's life above anything else. There is coming a Kingdom filled with peace
and righteousness. This Kingdom will have a most perfect and glorious Ruler, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Son of David.
"Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Mt. 4:17
There is a reason repentance is called for with the Kingdom soon to be revealed. Nowhere does the Word of God ever say that
the 1,000 year reign of Christ is guaranteed to a person just because he believes in Christ as his personal Saviour.
"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."
Rom. 14:17
Anything outside of this righteousness will not inherit (enter) the Kingdom.
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor. 6:9, 10
This passage, as well as the entire book, was written to Christians, those saved and following Christ at Corinth, as the opening
of Corinthians states.
"Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church
of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place
call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:" 1 Cor. 1:1, 2
We know that the Corinthians were doing sinful acts. The man with the illicit relationship, being drunken in church, divisions
among themselves, etc. To this church Paul declared that people who do such acts will not inherit the Kingdom of God. They
will not rule and reign with Christ during those thousand years. But I hear so often, these people were only professors, and not
true believers. Paul thought they were Christians; he was there.
So even Christ, discussing this with the Jews, who were looking for the kingdom, and how they can be locked out of it. After
telling the Pharisees a parable on the kingdom and what will happen to rebellious servants He tells them:
"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the
fruits thereof." Mt. 21:43
If the promised seed can lose the Kingdom and have it given to another the same can happen to disobedient Christians who
refuse to fully give their lives to God.
"It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with
him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:" 2 Tim. 2:11, 12
If we deny him, he also will deny us. What will God deny? It is with the same verses discussing living and reigning. If we
deny Christ in any way, He will deny us the Kingdom. If we suffer, give up of ourselves to Him, do His will, we will reign with him
in His Kingdom.
Mt 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Mt 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Mr 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s,
the same shall save it.
Lu 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall
save it.
Lu 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Joh 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
"There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the
prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out." Luke 21:28
God does not change. If one group of people can be thrust out, then we can be thrust out as well.
"And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of
God." Luke 9:62
When we accept Christ as our Saviour, become Christians, but turn back to our sinful old lifestyle, we will not be fit for
participating in the 1,000 year reign of Christ. It's just like a High School football player. He gets accepted to the team but does
not practice or work on his game, he will not be fit or capable of playing in a game (ruling and reigning with Christ), so he will be
on the bench (in outer darkness, Matthew 8:12) for the entire season (1,000 years).
Besides 1 Cor. 6, there is also these passages:
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit
incorruption." 1 Cor. 15:50
So, flesh and blood does not inherit the Kingdom of God, neither do the works of the flesh:
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they
which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Gal. 5:19-21
All these things Christians are certainly capable of, as Paul was reminding the Corinthians and Galatians. "Know ye not that
the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?" "Know ye not?" We should all be reminded that our sinfulness will
not be overlooked by God.
"And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time
of your sojourning here in fear:" 1 Peter 1:17
"For there is no respect of persons with God." Romans 2;11
Being a Christian does not give us a free pass. We will still stand before our righteous God and give an answer for all we have
done.
